My wife and I both grew up southwest of Portland. We both taught in the Sherwood School district before moving to sunny Central Oregon with our children in 2006.

After teaching 5th grade at Sisters Middle School for one year, I became Dean of Students in addition to teaching 7th / 8th grade math and coaching basketball.

This is my 25th year in education and my 8th year at Tumalo.  I continue to be amazed by the professionalism, dedication and commitment our staff shows to young people each and every day.  We are continuously working to improve our academic programs and strengthen our positive school culture.  My goal is to build relationships with all of our students and to promote and develop high academic and behavioral standards.

Favorite Books: Hatchet, Where the Red Fern Grows & The Old Man and the Sea

Favorite Movies: “Cars”, Indiana Jones Series, James Bond Series and Miracle.

Memorable trips: 19 days in China with 15 middle school students, East Coast Trip, Florida vacation with my family
