     I hope you all are having a wonderful summer! While we have a few weeks left, I wanted to get in touch to share a few important details as we prepare to return to school! 

1. Construction crews have been busy working on our school adding seismic support to a large portion of our building.  Our office is open, however, due to this construction the remainder of our school is closed.
2. Online Verifcation- Please log in to ParentVue and complete Online Verifcation.  Online Verification is required for all students. I have included directions to access "ParentVue" if you do not have it.
3. Class Placements- Your student's class placement is visible in ParentVue. While on your student's "navigation page" click on "Class Schedule" then "Today" and toggle to "Semester 1".   We have a comprehensive multi-disciplinary process when placing students in classes; as a result, class change requests will not be accepted.
4. School Supplies-  Below you will find Tumalo grade-specific supply lists provided by Tumalo Teachers please use these when preparing for the year.
5. First Day of School- 
    - Kinder-.First Full Day 9/12/24, after assessments and "thirds days" our Kinder team will call and schedule these.   Kindergarten students will be placed in classrooms after assessments are complete.
    - 1st Grade- 9/5/24 teachers will call and schedule assessments for the 3rd and 4th. 
    - 2nd-5th 9/3/24
6. School hours- 8:45-3:25 M, T, Th, F, and 8:45-2:25 on Wednesdays
7. Open House- Thursday, September 12th, 5:30-7:00

Kindergarten School Supplies

Good morning Tigers! 

       This will be the first of many communications home via this application. As we approach the 24/25 school year I recognize that many of you are excited to purchase school supplies and prepare your kiddos for kindergarten.  At Tumalo, Kindergarten provides school supplies for your students. If you are able to, a $25 donation toward the kindergarten supply fund would be helpful. Other than that your child will need a full-size backpack, a water bottle, and wired headphones (not wireless). We look forward to seeing you all.  First Grade School Supplies

• 1 - backpack

• 1 - box (24) pencils, Ticonderoga preferred

• 2 - boxes of crayons

• 1 - box of colored pencils

• 2 - pink pearl erasers

• 2 - Crayola watercolor paint sets

• 1 - box of markers - washable Crayola preferred

• 8 - small glue sticks or 4 - large glue sticks

• 4 - dry erase markers (black only please)

• 1 - box gallon size bags (boys bring)

• 1 - box of tissues (girls bring)

• 1 - pair of wired headphones (no earbuds or wireless please)

Second Grade School Supplies

Here are some more detailed supplies for Tumalo. We’d like to give you a couple of options. You can either donate $25 and we will do your shopping for you or you can buy the following items: You can send cash/check with your child on the first day. 

• Crayola crayons (box of 24)

• Crayola markers, (boys: fine point and girls: standard)

• Glue sticks (4-6)

• 4 fine tip black dry erase markers

• 1 box pencils (Ticonderoga) 

• 2 black Sharpie markers

•  1-2 boxes of tissues

Label with Name:

• 1 good quality 2 pocket folder, plastic preferred

• Wired Headphones-no ear buds, (even if giving $25 instead of supplies)

Third Grade School Supplies

• 3-Expo. Chisel tip dry-erase markers 

• 50-Ticonderoga brand pencils  ***pre sharpened if possible

• 2+ highlighters (yellow )

• 1-pair of children’s scissors (Fiskar brand preferred)

• 1-box of Crayola crayons (24 count or more)

• 1-box of colored pencils (12 count or more) pre-sharpened

• 1-small bottle of white Elmer’s glue

• 1-set of durable wired headphones or earbuds

• 4-fine point black Sharpies

• 1-set of colored markers

• 1-durable, leakproof water bottle

• ***A box of tissues is appreciated.

• ***Extra donations of pencils are very much appreciated.

• ***You may want to purchase extra art supplies to keep and use for projects at home.

Fourth Grade School Supplies

• 24 Ticonderoga brand pencils -replace as needed

• 1 personal pencil sharpener 

• 2-3 packages of Post-it notes

• 1 pencil box

• 1 pointed pair of scissors 

• 1 box colored pencils (minimum 12 pack)

• 1 box thin tip markers

• 2 yellow highlighters

• 4 glue sticks

• 2 spiral notebooks (wide-ruled) 100 pages

• 2 packages dry erase markers-replace as needed

• 1 set of wired headphones or earbuds

• 1 Box Kleenex Tissue

Fifth Grade School Supplies

• #2 pencils – Ticonderoga brand-replace as needed

• 1 package of binder paper–wide ruled

• 1 package of cap erasers

• 2-3 packages of Post-it notes

• 1 pencil box

• 1 pointed pair of scissors 

• 1 set of colored pencils (minimum 12 pack)

• 2 glue sticks

• 2 spiral notebooks (wide-ruled) 100 pages

• 2 packages dry erase markers-replace as needed

• 1 set of wired headphones or earbuds

• 2 or more Box Kleenex Tissue
